Description
A limited edition (total of 60) handmade, accordion-fold cyanotype book made to accompany the exhibition “the present of my life looks different under trees”. The book is 5 by 7 inches in size, with 11 pages total. Each cover is unique, with one for each year from 1959 to 2018. Each book comes with three 5 by 7 prints and is signed on the inside cover by the artist.
“the present of my life looks different under trees” is an exhibition of sixty cyanotypes, each one reflecting a summary of that year’s weather in Houston, Texas. The changes over 60 years are startling and the installation, which surrounds the viewer, brings these changes to the fore.
The book contains a mini version of the installation coupled with quotes from sources such as Annie Dillard, Stephen J Gould and the Doomsday Clock report for 2019.
If you would like a specific year (from 1959-2018) please specify which one (and even a backup) in the order notes. I will list the years as they are sold but these updates will not be instantaneous! The earlier orders will always get priority.
